What drives us
The first mobile phone with a Philippine-language interface (2001)
The first search engine in Tagalog (2006) and Cebuano (2015)
The first covid-19 vaccine developed in Filipino (2020)
These are why we do what we do. Together, we accomplish way more than what one or a few individuals can ever achieve.
"Malasakit"
Like many words in Tagalog/Filipino, this concept does not have a complete equivalent in English or other languages. Beyond passive concern or solicitude, “Malasakit” goes above and beyond one’s duty as a worker and calls to action one’s accountability to his or her fellow human.
Paired with our “Quality in Quantity” culture at our Filipino-owned company — QwertyWorks — we carry out our functions as linguists, researchers, project managers and admin professionals with a sense of calling that our work is not just a job, but an everyday privilege to represent the Filipino people.
